From our hotel in Dieppe by the sea

A thousand and one activities at your feet

"In Dieppe, the light is like a jewel box" said Matisse. The beach closest to Paris, framed by high cliffs, is the oldest French seaside resort. The first officially known bather in France was King Henry III, who came to Dieppe in June 1578 on the advice of his doctors... But the sea bathing craze was really launched by Marie-Caroline, Duchess of Berry, who stayed in Dieppe many times from 1824 to 1829. In August 1824, greeted by a 21-gun salute from the castle, she took a liking to sea bathing and "launched" the Dieppe beach.

Today, we still appreciate these sea baths in the wonderful setting of Dieppe and its cliffs. The capital of kite flying is not lacking in assets and invites you to live beautiful sensations by practising the activity that you wish... there is as much as you want!
